North West 200 Revs Up for 'Giant' 2012
The First Minister, Peter Robinson, and Minister for Tourism, Arlene Foster, joined some of the UK and Northern Ireland's top names in road racing for the launch of the 2012 Relentless International North West 200. Organisers of the famous road race, which will take place on Saturday19th May, announced a giant-themed Race Week, in line with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board's 'giant' year for international events.

Keith Farmer: British Superstock 600 Champion
Although Alastair Seeley has been receiving most of the accolades for winning the British Supersport championship last year there was also another British Champion from Northern Ireland. He was 23-year-old Keith Farmer from Portadown, County Armagh who dominated the Superstock 600 championship winning four races in a row after the opening round on his
privateer R6 Yamaha. I can vaguely remember Keith as a youngster in the paddock with his father Allen who was sponsoring his cousin Stephen on a 250 Yamaha back in the early 1990's. Stephen was one of the nicest lads I have ever met in racing but sadly lost his life in June 1995 during an accident at work.

John McGuinness: Another Pint Please!
John McGuinness has confirmed that he will again spearhead Honda Motor Europe's World Endurance Championship and their road racing campaign in 2012 which will also be his 7th consecutive year with Honda at the Isle of Man TT races as he continues to tick all the right boxes. McGuinness says, "Yes I am very happy to be doing the same thing as last year, especially in the Endurance championship where we will be a lot stronger, as Honda are building new Fireblades for us. I have a great personal relationship with Race Team Manager, Neill Tuxworth and I know he will not be upset if I say that he's maybe in the twilight of his career and is becoming more chilled out.

Guy Martin Signs for Tyco Suzuki
Tyco Suzuki has confirmed the much-anticipated news that Guy Martin has signed for the Northern Ireland based outfit for the 2012 Road Racing Season. The 2011 Ulster Grand Prix Superbike winner and quadruple podium finisher at last year's Isle of Man TT will partner Manxman Conor Cummins in an all-new line for the three major International Road Races, the North West 200, the Ulster Grand Prix and the Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy, with BSB rider Alastair Seeley also joining them in a threepronged attack at the North West 200 in May.
It will be Guy's second season racing for the Moneymore based TAS Racing and in inimitable Guy Martin style, he explained just why he wanted to remain on GSX-R Suzuki machinery this term with Tyco Suzuki.
